Lemons

When life hands you lemons, praise
the lemon tree, bless the water, bless
the bees, thank the sun, revere the soil
breathe deeply of this, glory passed
from hand to hand.

O raise your voice in joyous salutation
for the seasons in rotation, spiraling
seed to shoot to bloom to fruit, each tree
a true verse of the One Song, dance
with lemons, gold in your hand.

Full disclosure – I love lemons.

Though this past year has been difficult, I, too, praise the lemons! Thank you, Anna Marie, for reminding me to do so.

Robert, you are so welcome. Your writing does the same for me, as you always find that beauty connection.
